Friday Night Social Play

We play both social and competition games every Friday night from 7.30pm to 10.45pm at the Thornleigh Indoor Sports Stadium, or "The Brickpit", 1 Dartford Rd, Thornleigh (off Pennant Hills Rd). See the Location page for details on how to get there.

Currently we have 16 tables available for play on Friday nights, which are open to all players –- juniors and seniors, beginners and experienced players. Play socially, join the district competition, or come and watch the competition matches played that night.

We encourage players to mix opponents and partners, and pick up some tips from more experienced players to improve their standard of play.

Competition Play

Our competition teams play all their home matches on Friday nights at The Brickpit. We have joined the Sydney Northern Districts Table Tennis Association competition and have currently 10 teams participating –- from Division 1 to Division 3.

We are affiliated with Table Tennis NSW and all competition players must be registered, allowing them to play in National and State tournaments and other competitions such as the Sydney Metropolitan League at Homebush Olympic Park. Our best team competes here on Thursday nights.

In November we hold our annual Club Championships on a Sunday to be advised (check the newsletter tab for the latest dates and other information).

Coaching

Coaching clinics are held on Saturday nights from 7-10pm at The Brickpit. Our coach is Gina Hui, former Australian Ladies Champion, and once ranked 8th in China and 16th in the world. Gina is also available for private coaching on Friday nights by arrangement.

Schools Table Tennis

We hope to organise school tournaments in the future. We encourage schools to contact SUNS President, Theo Morsink regarding training and coaching opportunities in preparation for NSW and National schools tournaments.
